Media has many people who are displayed as role models or influencers.These people set standards for what people think they should be. To high school students this can be a major issue. They can feel pressured to meet the standard to be  "pretty or popular".  This can be dangerous and can cause people to want to change who they are to fit in. In 2009 10.6% of high school students didn’t eat for 24 hours or more and 5% took diet pills, powders, or liquids to lose or keep from gaining weight. These statistics keep going up as the use of social media increases. They are a diverse group. Unfortunately this group faces discrimination, despite them having high levels.
Asian Americans have well defined cultures based on their heritage. Regardless of this white Americans 
are often viewed as "model minorities." Not only is this harmful to Asian Americans but to other marginalized groups.

This risk is multiplied when you add social media. Although some people don't even realize they have given in to the stereotype, and this can be more dangerous. This can lead to people trying to change themselves to fit in and not be just one thing.
