 Plants that are going to grow fruit, need to have flowers that get pollinated.
Flowers have male and female parts.
Some flowers can be used to make cloth, like cotton.
The petals attract bugs and birds, so that the flower can get pollinated.
Cereals like what and rice are flowering plants.

When the tomato seed starts to grow this called GERMINATION.
When a bird eats fruit, they eat the seeds too. Then they poo out the seeds and it should grow. 
We can eat seeds, but they usually don't get digested.

We eat the stem of the rhubarb plants, it's leaves are poisons. This protects the stems and roots.
Trees start out as thin SAPLINGS. As they grow taller, their stem gets wider = called a TRUNK.
There are different types of stems. Such as, woody stems, Herbaceous.
