I think this book is suited for middle school students, although any gender would enjoy reading this book, it is mostly targeted to pre-teen and teen girls. I think the story and romance appeals to older children because they begin to understand it more as they get older.
The book is easy to read and engaging. Something else I loved about the book is its appeal to all genders.
