         <description><![CDATA[<div>Doing my case study was very eye opening. All of the above "I Wonders" can be answered with a very positive yes. But, it is very important that you remember that the technology is not the teacher and it is important that you know what its role is when you integrate the technology. There were two important models that I found in my research. The first model is SAMR<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>SAMR allows you to decide and make a decision on the role of the technology.&nbsp;<br><br>The second model is TPCK, TPCK allows you to see if the integration of the technology is well balanced and if it also compliments your pedagogy and content knowledge. When integrating technology into a lesson you need to have a balance between the content, your pedagogy and the integration of technology.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>These two models should be used as references when planning a lesson that includes technology. Like I stated initially when well-planned and with good classroom management technology can enhance any lessons due to the vast resources and tools available for students.&nbsp;<br>In my case study, the EL students and also my low performing students excelled and showed a greater engagement when using technology. The EL's had a translator, dictionary, and a search engine at their disposal. In contrast, when they did the paper in pencil they seemed lost and very uninterested in using the vast array of texts that were available at their disposal as resources. Text can be very intimidating to low performing students and also to EL's, the internet with its vast resources can help the students overcome the problems they have with texts.<br><br><br><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
