This old building was once a sugar mill and estate home in 1740 when it was established by a man named James Brown sr. Because of the extreme weather in the area he eventually left the state and left it to his sister, Elizebeth White in 1797 to a scottish business man Edward Huggins.

He managed to turn the state into a successful sugar mill, and in 1817 he was brought to trial because of the brutality and horrendous treatment i which he kept his slaves (not that slavery is moral anyway. hypocritical, don't you think?). Now, the old estate is in ruins and claimed to be one of the most haunted locations in the Virgin islands. Locals say that at night, you can hear screams or see silhouettes. some say they saw the infamous La llarona, but that has yet to be confirmed. So, ghost inthusiasts, if you're into ghost tours and exploring haunted locations, this place is for you.
