I think it was important for the Once-ler to tell the story to the boy because now the boy knows what happened and he can fix everything and bring back the Lorax and his friends. The boy can replant the trees and the street of the lifted Lorax can be lined with truffula trees.

The lorax felt sad that all his trees were being cut down. He loved all the beauty that the town had but when the trees were gone all the beauty was destroyed

On this side of town its all filled with smoke and fog. There’s no animals no fish singing, and most of all trees. When I said “I was doing no harm”. I was wrong. I did exactly the opposite of what I had said. I am getting sick of being alone. All the fault should be blamed on me. I thought I was doing the right thing by making the thneeds. Until all the animals went away and the vegetation. My building is falling apart slowly. I would like to regrow the trees and make my life the happiest it can be at this stage. I wish that the animals would come back when the trees are grown. I can try and fix what I did. Even if it’s not like it used to be. Now the Once-ler has people making the Thneeds for him and it is going even faster than before because he is working quicker than the trees can reproduce. Since he is reproducing faster than the trees he will not have anymore trees, and so he will not have anymore Thneeds. He is now running out of trees. In the end, he has one final tree left and he decides to chop it and one tiny seed falls. At this point it is so polluted that no one should be staying there. All of this is his fault. There are now no birds, no fish, and he should have listened to the Lorax. Now the Once-ler has to live in this place with no trees and no fish, and no Lorax.
