This trust was formed in 1983 . He did this because ,while working in Summerhill ,Dublin, he came face to face with homelessness. One day he found a homeless nine year old boy on the street. He felt sorry for him and started a hostel for homeless people. He got really in to it and set up more hostels and shelters. Pope John Paul was born on May 18th 1920 and died on the 2nd of April 2005. His birth name was Karol Józef Wojtyła. He was from Poland. John Paul dedicated a lot of his time to get human rights. John Paul used his influence to bring about political change. Why?
The reason he did this was because he looked up to St. Francis because he always liked to help the poor, he also thought that the increase of homeless that got too big,too quick.

Who?
Brother Kevin Crowley helped the homeless he did this by setting up a  day center called capuchin day center.
