Building Resilience<br><br>Changes from youth to adulthood:<br>Self concept: &nbsp;</div><ul><li>begin to explore different values and beliefs</li><li>have a clearer understanding of their identity and their beliefs which influences their emotional development</li><li>if one is satisfied with who they are, they will feel a sense of pride and achievement and are more comfortable with who they are.</li></ul><div>Learning appropriate ways of expressing emotions:&nbsp;</div><ul><li>An individual will have experienced a wide range of emotions and will be able to recognise them as they come forth&nbsp;</li><li>they will be able to better cope and express their emotions.</li></ul><div>Building resilience:</div><ul><li>As life experience and knowledge increases, the transition to adulthood comes with greater resilience to life’s challenges</li><li>Previous coping strategies are built upon with new strategies, resulting in greater resilience.</li></ul>]]></description>
