T.ex kan ruiner ha en dörr kopplad till en QR-Kod, där om man tidigare scannat en symbol på en annat turistmål, så låses dörren upp och man får ta del av extra information - det blir som en slags "skattjakt" kring ön. Det kan även finnas "poäng-prylar" att scanna, som är kopplade till en näraliggande restaurang eller butik och man t.ex får rabatt eller erbjudande i butiken med scannad "sten" i borgen osv.
