Copernicus never personally released his findings. His family later released the Heliocentric theory to the public after he died of natural causes, so that the catholic church could not do anything to harm him.

William Harvey was an English physician who is credited with solving the dispute over how blood flowed through the body. He discovered that blood circulates through the body via the veins and where the blood leads to. He wrote in detail how the pulmonary and circulatory systems led to the brain and how the heart pumped the rest to every part of the body. This one discovery had changed how we saw the human body, and has helped make breakthroughs, to this day, on how the body truly works.
