In this film, we follow Grandfather’s daily life. Spending his days alone, he wishes he had someone to talk to. As time passes, his hopes of someone visiting him diminishes. This story aims to evoke a sense of loneliness and help us empathise with the elderly. We hope that this story would encourage (our audience) to visit their grandparents more often.

Following Grandfather, we get to see how he usually spends his day. He can be seen spending time alone, waiting for someone to talk to. As he waits for someone to talk to, the sky eventually darkens. Will anyone visit him?

2. Learnings & Insights - what have you learned from this ICA and any new insights you have gained, including how you have grown in terms of knowledge/ as a person?

• Pei Tong: I’ve learnt how difficult it is to film a video and how important the different shots and their                    impacts are to the video.

• Ranelle: I learnt how difficult it is to film a short film, because despite it being a short video, we had to spend a lot of time filming and editing. I also learnt how sound effects/bgm play a huge part in videos.

• Vivi: I learnt how to use the different shots, ways to make the video flow smoothly and edit on premiere pro. It is not easy to film a short film as it takes many tries to get the right scene.

• Phoebe: I learnt that the entire process of filming is not as easy as it sounds. It will take a while to get used to it and study the shot methods.

3. Result and self-reflection

• how do you feel about the final product, were you satisfied / unsatisfied? Why? 

• What you could have done better? 

• Pei Tong: I am very satisfied with the final product because I know my group and I have done our very best to make the video. Even though it is only a 2-minute short film, we had put in all effort and time we could. Thus, I am very satisfied with the final video. I think I could have done better by thinking of more ideas that we could use to enhance the storyline of our story.

• Ranelle: I am very satisfied with the result because we all tried our very best. We found time to stay back to discuss, and we even made people moved by our short film. Goal accomplished. I think we could have tried out more shot ideas like panning and having more angles.

• Vivi: I am very satisfied with the final product because we had put in a lot of effort to film, edit and gather feedback to further improve our video. I could have added more ideas to enhance our shots. 

• Phoebe: I am satisfied with the final product as it turned out pretty well and close to what I had imagined it to look like. I feel like I could have contributed more as a teammate if I had better time management.
