Any class where a certain percent of students either show grow or hit their growh target (maybe 75%) gets the reward. It could be a "free" day in ELA with games. This would be much easier to manage and would prevent students from being excluded.

Whatever we choose, I think that there should be an incentive for students that immediately follows testing. Also, we should consider incentivizing the test with some small token (candy, snack SOMETHING) BEFORE the test, as a way to 'pump up' the kids.

I am still a big fan of incentivizing students for effort, too, because a student who tries his or her best but does not improve will be less likely to try on the next test if they didn't get the reward after working for it.

-Chris Enix
