         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think Optical illusions work by exploiting the processes our brain uses to process visual information efficiently. the brain actively interprets cues like perspective, light, and the surrounding information to construct the picture in the brain. Illusions present with ambiguous data that causes the brain to incorrectly process the image.</p><p>This proves that our perception is not perfect reflection of the reality, but a constrictive process. The brain makes constant assumptions based on past experiences to quickly come to conclusion and deduce the information received from the eyes.</p><p>One such example that we grew up with is an illusion with a checker-shadow picture by Edward Adelson where one box is black and the other looks white. What is interesting is that both of these boxes are the same shade of gray. It is quite interesting how the visual cues of context and lightening tricks our brain to see different image than the reality.</p>]]></description>
