The staff (Kak Nor) briefied me the job scope about the company. The job scope is about how to make call to the resorts at the island and how to greet customers through the phone call. She also told about the islands (Pulau Kecil & Pulau Besar) and take note about the details of customers that call for booking the packages. Lastly, she ended the briefing by told me about the islands that will be close during monsoon. In the evening, i started my SIEP already since Kak Nor want me to observe and learn what they do in the office. Another staff which is Kak Yen taught me how to make room booking, invoice, boat ticket, meal voucher,receipt, room voucher and snorkeling voucher. Kak Nor asked me to make a list name of customer that will be arrive tomorrow on form that prepared by Jabatan Laut. In order to make sure i applied the job scope, Kak Yen told me to make call to the certain resort to ask if there are any rooms available for certain date. My job for today is to escort the customers to the jetty. The jetty is a 5 minute walk from Sealife office. I also guided the customers to the Sealife boat and told them to pay the tax from Jabatan Laut as the tax is compulsory to pay before enter the jetty. I was on duty at the jetty for about 2 hours since the customers were coming not at the same time. Those customers that arrived early can take boat at 8am and those who miss it can take the next boat which is at 9am.
