I was born in the Sanford NC hospital. All of my family came from across the state to see me. My birthday meant that I was the youngest in my family. My cousin says that he knew I was being born so he was born 8 days earlier so he wouldn't be last. I went home a few days later.

Hurricane Matthew 10/8/2016

In October of 2016 we got hit by hurricane Matthew. It was really windy and rainy. Most of the time we just stayed inside without power. We didn't have power for days after that. We also couldn't go far on the road because the road washed out. It was exciting when the power came back.

New house April 2018

We started building a house in 2017 but it was finished in 2018. We built it in what was a soybean field right beside the house we had been living in. The new house is a lot bigger. It was fun exploring it. It was different living in a new house.

Started school July 2018

I started kindergarten at Tramway in July of 2018. I was in Mrs. West's class. I started on a Wednesday with only a third of my class but it was easy that day. We just colored and did simple things like 2+2 and the ABCs. I made a few friends then.

New dog 1/19/19

In January of 2019 we wanted a new dog. Our old dog (a pug) died a few years before that. We went to several shelters looking for beagles and hounds but we couldn't find any. Then, we found one at CARA but we liked a golden retriever mix more. We got him and named him Nash

Lockdown March 2020

In March of 2020 when I was in first grade, covid started spreading across the country. It was weird staying at home doing school every Friday at first. They said that we would be back in a few days or weeks. When second grade started it was also weird to only see people online before coming back to in person school in January of 2021.

Stuck on an Amtrak train (Bad experience) 8/1/2022

My family and I were coming back from Washington DC to see a baseball game and we went on an Amtrak train. Due to freight trains, we had about an hour of delays at first. We already had bad seats (No windows). Then, a someone's cooler full of soda stated dripping on me. Also, the train's cafe car closed for the night so we couldn't get napkins. The attendants were rude to us also. When we reached the town of Selma, the train stopped because the engineer ran out of hours. It took about 2 hours to get a new engineer because it was the middle of the night.

Solar eclipse 4/8/2024

In April of 2024 my family went to see the total solar eclipse. We spent 8 hours driving to stay with family in Cincinnati, Ohio. The next day we drove to a farm in Indiana because it was in the path of totality. It was perfect weather compared to where we had thought about seeing it in Texas. The other time I have seen an eclipse was in South Carolina in 2017.

State Spelling Bee 3/9/25

In November of 2024, I won my class spelling Bee. In December, I got second in the school spelling bee. I went to the county spelling bee in February. After a hard battle with a 5th and 8th grader, I had won that. That means I advanced to state level. I went to Charlotte and the Panther stadium. The kids there were very good at spelling so I got 8th there.

House flooding / Start of middle school 7/4/24

Before I went to bed on July 4th 2024 at my house, our washing machine broke and flooded some of the house. It ruined the floor so it had to be ripped out and replaced. We moved out for about a week to a house down a long dirt road with an old railroad and sawmill behind it. For the last few days we went to my grandparent's house. I also started middle school then.
