The story is a biography and contains stories about his upbringing in California and Hawaii and his surfing adventures around the world. There are many themes in this book such as love, adventure and friendship. Many of his stories have his best friend, Bryan in them. They travel to various places across the globe in pursuit of the perfect wave and form an unbreakable bond along the way. It is my favorite piece of art because it honors Pat Tillman who was a football player for the Arizona Cardinals and an Army Ranger who was killed in Afghanistan. Pat was a great man who sacrificed his NFL career to serve his country after 9/11. Pat’s patriotic choice is something I believe in. Pat also had the chance to join various other NFL teams for more money, but he stayed with the Cardinals. He also sings, “I'm gonna make a change It's gonna feel real good!” This shows that helping others feels good and makes you a better person overall.
