1. BELIEF IN RASUL

   • Conveying Allah's message to the believers who have faith in Allah.

   • The prophets are trustworthy (truthful).

   • They call the people to obey Allah.

   • Importance of believing in the Prophets:

   • The prophets guide humans to the right path.

   • Proof that life is a test, and all deeds will be accounted for in the hereafter.

   • Evidence that the prophets have provided guidance to mankind.

   • They have knowledge of the unseen.

   • They serve as the best examples for humanity.

     
     

2. Belief in yaumil qiyamah (day of judgement)

   • Those who do good deeds will enter Paradise, and those who commit evil will enter Hell.

   • Ruling: obligatory.

   • Effects of believing in the Day of Judgment:

   • 1. The servant believes in Allah and is convinced.

   • 2. It increases the sense of piety towards Allah.

3. Belief in Qada and Qadar (Divine will and Decree).

• Knowing that Allah is all-knowing.

• Qada' and Qadar have already been written.

• What happens is by Allah's will.

• Confidence that Allah created all creatures.

• Effects of believing in Qada' and Qadar:

• Peace of mind in worship.

• Not overthinking what has happened or what will happen.

• It gives humans strength.

• Humility before Allah.

• Guides us to rely on Allah.

• Avoids committing bad deeds.

• Encourages the increase of good deeds.

1. Belief in Allah.
   The first Pillar of Iman is the belief in the All-Powerful, Most Beneficent. Believing in Allah, above all else is the first and most important pillar. We discuss about importance of Muslim belief in Allah

2. Belief in Malaikat.
   Belief in Malaikat is the second Pillar of Iman . Malaikat are messengers of Allah. They were created from light and were created, before humans, for the purpose of worshipping Allah. 

3. Belief in Al Kitab (the books of Allah).
   The third Pillar of Iman is the belief in the books of Allah. Here it is the belief that at the time when these books were sent down they truly were a message from Allah. The only book left is the Qur’an in its entirety, because it is the last revelation Allah will send to us.

عن عُمَر بْن الْخَطَّابِ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ إِذْ طَلَعَ عَلَيْنَا رَجُلٌ شَدِيدُ بَيَاضِ الثِّيَابِ شَدِيدُ سَوَادِ الشَّعَرِ لَا يُرَى عَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ السَّفَرِ وَلَا يَعْرِفُهُ مِنَّا أَحَدٌ حَتَّى جَلَسَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْنَدَ رُكْبَتَيْهِ إِلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَوَضَعَ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى فَخِذَيْهِ وَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْإِسْلَامِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْإِسْلَامُ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَتَصُومَ رَمَضَانَ وَتَحُجَّ الْبَيْتَ إِنْ اسْتَطَعْتَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلًا قَالَ صَدَقْتَ قَالَ فَعَجِبْنَا لَهُ يَسْأَلُهُ وَيُصَدِّقُهُ قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْإِيمَانِ قَالَ أَنْ تُؤْمِنَ بِاللَّهِ وَمَلَائِكَتِهِ وَكُتُبِهِ وَرُسُلِهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَتُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ قَالَ صَدَقْتَ قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ الْإِحْسَانِ قَالَ أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ كَأَنَّكَ تَرَاهُ فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ تَرَاهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَرَاكَ قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ السَّاعَةِ قَالَ مَا الْمَسْئُولُ عَنْهَا بِأَعْلَمَ مِنْ السَّائِلِ قَالَ فَأَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ أَمَارَتِهَا قَالَ أَنْ تَلِدَ الْأَمَةُ رَبَّتَهَا وَأَنْ تَرَى الْحُفَاةَ الْعُرَاةَ الْعَالَةَ رِعَاءَ الشَّاءِ يَتَطَاوَلُونَ فِي الْبُنْيَانِ قَالَ ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ فَلَبِثْتُ مَلِيًّا ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي يَا عُمَرُ أَتَدْرِي مَنْ السَّائِلُ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ فَإِنَّهُ جِبْرِيلُ أَتَاكُمْ يُعَلِّمُكُمْ دِينَكُمْ

Scholars consider Islam, Iman and Ihsan the three stages in the path towards Allah (swt).

Zakāh is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is obligatory for Muslims to observe. A means to grow closer to Allah SWT, alongside Ṣalāh, Ṣawm, and Ḥajj.Zakāh impacts individual and social life positively.

• The Virtues of Zakāh : Tawakkul

  - Tawakkul (Reliance on Allah)

  - Training Muslims to rely on Allah SWT rather than material wealth.

  - Assurance that Allah will replace what is given for His sake

The Wisdom of Fasting:

1. Controlling Desires: Fasting helps individuals control their desires and impulses, leading to greater piety and reducing the influence of Satan.

2. Training to Avoid Sin: Fasting also teaches Muslims to avoid sinful actions like gossip, lying, and inappropriate speech, emphasizing the importance of a sincere intention in worship.

Flexibility in Fasting:

• Those who are ill or traveling are allowed to break their fast and make up for it on other days.

• Those who are unable to fast at all, due to chronic illness or significant difficulty, may pay fidyah, which involves feeding the poor.

Ease in Fasting:

• Allah provides flexibility for those who are ill or traveling, allowing them to break their fast and make up for it on different days without needing to fast consecutively.

• Fasting brings individuals closer to Allah and gives them the opportunity to focus on worship, especially since Satan is chained during Ramadan.

The Greatness and Takbir of Eid al-Fitr:

• After a month of fasting, Muslims glorify the greatness of Allah by reciting the takbir during Eid al-Fitr as a sign of gratitude and victory.

Prayers and Closeness to Allah SWT:

• Fasting provides an opportunity for Muslims to make du'a (prayers), and their prayers during Ramadan are more likely to be accepted by Allah.

The Virtues of Fasting:

1. Patience (Sabr): Fasting teaches patience in enduring hunger, thirst, and other trials.

2. Honor (Takrim): Fasting enhances one's honor by drawing closer to Allah and demonstrating obedience to His commands.

3. Mercy (Rahmah): Fasting cultivates compassion for the less fortunate and encourages acts of kindness and empathy.

The Social Virtues of Fasting:

• Fasting strengthens unity, promotes the spirit of forgiveness, and encourages social responsibility, such as charity and good deeds.

Mercy and Humanity in Fasting:

• Fasting teaches Muslims to cultivate mercy and compassion, helping individuals become more empathetic and kind to others.

• Ṣalāh with Khushūʿ

  -The cornerstone of a Muslim’s daily life, a connection with Allah.

  -A state of humility and focus in prayer,essential for spiritual success

  1. Al-Ṭāʿah (Submission/Loyalty)

     Total obedience to Allah’s commands.

     In Ṣalāh:

     -Bowing and prostration signify submission.

     -Builds unwavering loyalty to Allah.

     Reflection: Ṣalāh reminds us of our purpose and servitude to Allah.

  2. Al-Jihād (Struggle in the path of Allah)

     Striving for Allah’s cause,spiritually and morally.

     • Daily prayers strengthen our resolve to facelife’s struggles with patience.

  3. Muḥāsabah (Reflection)

       -Evaluating actions and intentions before Allah.

       -Reflection: Encourages a purified heart and a clear conscience

  4. Tawaḍḍuʿ(Humility/Humbleness)

     • Acknowledgment of one’s position as a servant of Allah.

     • In Ṣalāh:

     - Physical acts like bowing and prostration demonstrate humility.

     -Removes arrogance and instills gratitude.

     -Reflection: Develops a humble attitude in daily interactions

  5. Iffah (Modesty/self-restraint from sinful behaviour)

     • Avoidance of sinful behavior and desires.

     • In Ṣalāh:

       -Reminder of Allah’s presence fosters modesty in thoughtsand actions.
