We would spend weeks preparing them and all of our parents/grandparents would come and watch. It was so much fun!

My favorite music memory was in third grade. Our music teacher at the time did not have her own classroom, so she would travel to each classroom with a cart full of all kinds of things. My favorite part about it though was that she always had her guitar, and she would sing songs with us and teach us how to count the beats or tell us about the different chords of the guitar. My least favorite music memory was every year after third grade because we got a new music teacher, and every year he would make us write songs. We had to come up with our own lyrics and notes, but no one understood how to compose music.
MM

For each song we mastered, we received a little colored string to put on our bag, so I was so excited to practice the notes and songs and decorate my bag. My least favorite memory was memorising the history behind the eras of music and learning about composers, because I found the singing and music portions more interesting.
GW

I thought it was fun and a great way to show my family what we were working on in music class. It was a fun school event that we dressed up for and had a big crowd there. My least favorite memory of elementary music and something I struggled with was learning how to read music. I enjoy practicing songs by reading the words and singing the song multiple times.

We spent all of spring semester preparing for it and rehearsing. It was considered such a "huge deal" and other grades came to watch along with parents and faculty. I can still recite the songs today. My least favorite aspect of elementary music was probably learning to read music because it was so difficult at first.

I do not have a lot of distinct memories from elementary music, but there is a game I loved to play. Everyone sat in a circle, passing an object around while singing as the teacher played her guitar. Whoever had the object at the end of the short song was out; the last person to be in the circle won! My least favorite memories of elementary music involve having to try out for parts and solos for concerts. I was very shy and embarrassed to sing in front of my peers and friends so it made me very anxious.
SC

My favorite memory of elementary music was getting to sing at the concerts in front of our parents after we worked hard on practicing our songs and memorizing them. I loved it even more when our teacher would give us small dance moves that went along with the songs. My least favorite memory of elementary music was learning how to read music and knowing the notes and their names.

I have a lot of memories when it comes to early music. My favorite memory of elementary music was something we did every year until 5th grade. Our teacher called it the March of the Troll, or something like that. Every year it grew in difficulty, but it always involved masks and tempo or increasing music terms as grades increased. It was always a way to keep me on my toes when it came to listening.

My favorite memory of elementary music was being apart of the choir in 5th grade. I got to have a solo and for our winter concert. That is another great memory was all the concerts we had. My least favorite memory of elementary music is when we performed what a wonderful world we were split up and told to paint a picture. I was upset because I was not in the world group I was only a tree.

My favorite elementary music memory is when I got a lead solo in our class play. I was in 3rd grade and was playing a ladybug, I was really excited because I got to sing by myself. My least favorite memory was probably being forced to stand on the bleachers and sing for so long, my legs were always tired and I always ended up feeling squished.
