This image is showing how a small group of men are all praying in a certain direction, towards Mecca and also how they pray, on their knee's. This pillar is important because you need to show your care and commitment to god. With this said, it is super hard to pray five times a day. You would need to know your day schedule and mov around activities around the time of prayer. The holy book is showing how you need study and understand the story to be able to believe in the religion and have faith in it. As you read the spiritual readings it allows you to understand the texts better and as you increase your understanding of the holy books, you can articulate the book by writing about it, as it makes you have a bigger vocabulary and understand of what you are reading. This image represents the importance of giving money to the poor, as the Muslim community does. They do this to support their saying that "brotherhood of all believers." As this would bring out the community together helping one another. Also, it would make a kind community because everyone is contributing to this same fund. Fasting is important because it allows Muslims to get out of bad habits and also to get close to god or Allah. Since the day chances each month it can change time of the year you fast. So, if it was summer it can be hard to not drink water. The Haji is super important as you connect with many other Muslims and share your stories. Back around before 1500 they would most likely have to travel by boat and/or walk to it.
