The legislative assembly was the power that ruled France during the french revolution 1791 to 1792. A revolution is when people try to change the way the leaders in their country do things. The people of france were jealous of the of the United States for their new government because it was fair. and they wanted that too so they got in a fight with their unfair government. The stinky people of france fought the hardest because they were treated the worst. They were freaking mad because the government didn't help them. The legislative assembly made war on austria in 1792 to spread ideas of their new fair government. The paris commune was a new power that people started to listen too, eventually they took over the legislative assembly and became bonkers in 1792, they put crazy political views in normal people. They killed many people and tried to get rid of christianity in france. Christianity was very common so they were replaced in 1795 because people stopped liking them.

In France, there was a group of people called the 3rd Estate. Most of the people in France were the third estate, and they really wanted things to change. Rich people didn't like them and didn't let them decide rules for France. Then the third estate decided to create the National Assembly. The French Revolution has began, representatives of the third estate got together and wanted to right a constitution. Because the King didn't like them, they had to meet at a racket ball court. The Assembly created the Tennis Court Oath. People were angry and wanted this treatment to end. A bunch of people invaded the Bastille. This gave them weapons to fight. The people also wrote the Declaration of Rights. Riots and fighting and protesting was happening everywhere, it was scary. There was also bread riots happening. People didn't want to be ruled by a king anymore.

Napoleon was a smart man who was in the French military. He took a lot of land from Europe and during the French Revolution he became very important in the military. He got so much power that he made himself the emperor of France, which is very similar to a king. He made many reforms, a reform means you change something to make it better. People liked him a lot. Since he was smart he knew how to take countries and make them his own. He took a lot of land and It was all going good until one fateful day, he led the French army into Russia in the winter. Russia is very cold! The French weren't used to cold weather and the Russians kept running deeper into Russia and Napoleon made his army follow. That was a big mess up because many people died from no food or the cold itself. Him being an emperor changed more into a dictatorship after he started wars that were too hard to win. A dictator is like an emperor but they don't listen to the people they are supposed to keep safe. They are mean a lot of times and people don't like them. He wouldn't stop making stupid greedy decisions so the people of France eventually exiled him. Him being exiled means he got kicked out of France, he was forced to live by himself until he died 6 years later. TK.

Source
History.com Staff. "Napoleon Bonaparte." History.com.
National Convention (Logan)

The National Convention was a group of the coolest leaders in the French Revolution. They wanted to govern France the right way. First they abolished the monarchy, which including King Louis and his wife Marie Antoinette and a bunch of other bad guys. Sadly they had to kill these people with something called a guillotine, not cool. The Convention created the Committee of Public Safety which was led by Maximilien Robespierre. Him and other people didn't want to be attacked by other countries or other revolutionaries. They became paranoid of people coming to power which eventually became the Reign of Terror. It was ironic how the revolution was to create a republic but they still were corrupt. The Convention even tried to dechristianize by renaming churches and getting rid of Sunday from calendars. The National convention wasn't the best idea for this Revolution.
