         <description><![CDATA[<div>Insomnia is a sleep disorder. people with insomnia have trouble going to sleep at night, wake up in the middle of the night and have a hard time going back to sleep, and wake up earlier than planned and cant go back to sleep.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Acute insomnia</mark> - usually caused by a life event like stress, usually resolved without any treatment.<br><mark>Chronic insomnia</mark> - long term pattern of difficulty sleeping, trouble falling asleep or going asleep fro more than three nights a week for three months or longer.<br><mark>Comorbid insomnia</mark> - symptoms like anxiety or depression. certain medical conditions can cause this, like arthiritis or back pain.<br><mark>Onset insmonia </mark>- difficulty faling asleep in the beginning of the night.<br><mark>Maintenance insomnia </mark>-&nbsp;cant stay asleep, wake up during the night and cant go back to sleep.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are several types of treatment for insomnia.<br>Self-care: You can take steps to improve your sleep habits. Good sleep practices include <mark>having a regular bedtime schedule and avoiding naps, caffeine and TV before bedtime.</mark><br>Therapy: There are t<mark>wo main therapies to combat insomnia. The first is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a talk therapy focused on modifying negative thoughts, behaviors, and emotional responses associated with psychological distress.</mark><br>The <mark>second therapy is called Light Therapy, which is exposure to bright light using a device called a light box. Mimics natural sunlight</mark>.<br>Medications: There are several types of <mark>medication</mark> used to treat insomnia. <mark>Sedatives cause drowsiness, calmness, and dulled senses</mark>. <mark>Antihistamines</mark> reduce or stop an allergic reaction. Beta-amyloid is a protein in the brain associated with Alzheimer's disease.This isn't to say that losing sleep will cause Alzheimer's, but just that a link has been identified. More studies will need to be conducted in order to fully comprehend the situation.</div>]]></description>
