<title>Japanese soldier fights in WW2 for 30 years.Hiroo Onoda remained in the jungle on Lubang Island near Luzon (Philippines) until 1974.He was a Japanese soldier with orders to spy on military facilities, and to conduct guerilla warfare, also he was ordered not to die.Even though he had heard about the war having ended, he dismissed this as propaganda by the enemy, especially because the leaflets dropped contained mistakes, so he wrote it of as a ploy by the Americans.in the year of 1974, a Japanese student, found Hiroo after looking for him since it was first stop on his bucket list. The man also wanted to meet the abominable snowman and a wild panda, lucky for Hiroo he was first on the list.after befriending Hiroo (who would still not surrender, given his orders, not to die and not to surrender without orders)Hiroo was not alone during his time in the jungle, but over the years the group of 4, shrank to only Hiroo.after the Japanese student had taken pictures of himself and Hiroo, he could prove to the Japanese army that Hiroo was in fact alive and still carrying out his orders.A retired but superior officer was flown in, with signed orders for Hiroo to cease military activities.Hiroo was pardoned for the killings of upwards of 30 people. </title>
