Curtis grew up in a poorer household, and didn't have a start to hockey like most. His parents couldn't afford to put him in hockey, and only had the better life because of the kindness of others.

In my opinion sports are a great form of confidence boosting as a kid. especially for those who are not as good socially. it can be practice, and having something to talk about with your friends IE sports. it can help children socialize.
