In year, where so much could have gone wrong, it is important to remember what went right.  You arrived on the scene to become the new principal of B-T PreK-8 School.  I could tell you were eager to get started with the work, but first you needed to find out what you had signed up.  So, you made a very thoughtful move, and that was to invite each person to have a one on one with you, and you were still abroad.  “Who does that?”  

  To me, that spoke volumes about who you were as a person.  You were making an investment in the community, the staff and the school, in order to know how best to guide the school ,and the goals that we are  collectively charged with  achieving.  You built trust with the staff.  I have found you to be an active listener, a kind and thoughtful person. I have appreciated your willingness to engage with the larger community, students and staff.  It has not been the easiest of years. Difficult things often make us stronger, as individuals. 

As our leader you have helped all of us to build a foundation for our school, which will only lead to extraordinary achievements for our students, in the future.         Thank you for choosing to come to Broadview -Thomson Pre-K-8 School, and I look forward to working with you in the fall.  Wishing you a wonderful relaxing summer.  You certainly have earned it.   Sincerely, Vickie 

I truly appreciate that you are not only a great listener, but you also make things happen. You are also very supportive and you trust your staff to use their professional judgment in order to do what’s best for the students and their families.
