         <description><![CDATA[<div>a increase in mitochondria is in the muscular skeletal system by having more of these you can turn oxygen into energy at a higher rate. this means that you can create energy quicker this will make the body more efficient at using oxygen to turn into energy. for example in a game of football your body could use the increase of mitochondria to efficiently make energy quicker than other people so for example if a striker needed to sprint past the last defender the striker could use the oxygen more efficiently to be able to accelerate quicker as the energy has come quicker.<br>a decrease in resting heart rate is in the cardiovascular system the decrease in resting heart rate means that your heart will be more efficient because it will be able to pump more blood out in one contraction. the effect on long term training on this will result in a more powerful heart that can contract more and more powerfully to spread blood round the body this makes the powerful heart more efficient and effective to get oxygenated blood to the muscles. for example in a cycling race if your heart was powerful your heart wont need to work as heart but still be very effective as blood can get to the muscles very quickly and deliver oxygenated blood</div>]]></description>
