-What are layers in animate?
layers are a function in animate that allow an image to be in separate parts
-Why are they used?
They are used because it allows creators to focus and work on separate pieces of an image at once
-When do they have to be used?
You would have to have layers when working with different assets such as characters or objects
-What are the benefits and drawbacks of layers?
One of the benefits of using layers that if you make a mistake or delete a layer the whole image can be recovered or saved.
my names adam and i like men

Tweening is the process of generating intermediate images, called key frames, to give the illusion that the transition between the two images is smooth.
Tweening is short for in-between.
the library is a collection of reusable graphics included with Adobe Animate. It also allows you to add animations and characters to the library so you don't have to keep redrawing them.
You can integrate preexisting pictures and animations into Animate as well as program small functions for when an asset is clicked or interacted with.
The benefits would be that you can trace pictures of something you want to include in a background but it means that the file size will be higher.

Frames are a single image within an animation. When there are multiple frames after each other, it would create an animation. Whilst using animate, the frames section is found on the bottom of the screen. This area allows u to manipulate the animation frame by frame.
Key frames
A key frame is a frame where a change occurs in the timeline.

Controls are another name for a tool used during animation.
Buttons in Animate (formerly Flash Professional) are symbols that contain four frames. Each frame of a button symbol represents a different state for the button: Up, Over, Down, and Hit. These states determine how a button visually behaves when the mouse is rolled over it or when the user clicks the button.
examples of controls span from all the tools in the software adobe anime and common ones are the line tool or text tool

Up: The appearance of your button when it’s not pressed or rolled over. This state is the one you see most of the time as the button sits on the stage.

Over: The appearance of the button when the mouse pointer rolls over it. Adding unique content to this frame creates the rollover effect that many people know and love from using web buttons.

Down: The appearance of the button when it’s clicked and the mouse button is held down.

Hit: Contents aren’t visible, but this state sets the hot spot, or clickable area, of your button. If the Hit frame is empty, it uses the shape on the last available state by default. You can create a more specific clickable area if you want to give users more or less area to work with or you want to simplify usability for odd-shaped buttons.

Use a filled shape in the Hit frame so that the user has no problem interacting with your button.
