Giving the drawing to someone gives it extra purpose for our children so think of reason for them to do a drawing e.g. for someone's birthday.  

Talk to your child about what they have drawn and write what it is on their work (this helps them to connect mark making to meaning).

Draw an example linked to the Jack and the Beanstalk story e.g. the castle to show that our stories and drawings can link. Warning: Your child may choose to draw something totally different ...and that's ok. ;)
