The story of jurassic was really gripping throught the overall movie with an heart warming touch with the children's. The overall characters acting is very good and we look forward to see them in the next or in others movies. Even though the fact that the special effects are not as good as today they are still very dazzling and remain iconic. The plot is close to perfection to me but the scene with the flashlight and the T-rex still triggers me after all those years. The movie do feel realistic even if it is clearly science fiction which make it masterful. in overall it was a pretty good experience definitly going to watch it again I really recommend it!

Saw X (2023)

Released in 2023 , Saw X was a renewal in the franchise . It’s a very fresh start and is also welcome to anyone new who didn’t watch any of the previous Saw movies . The traps of this movie are very innovative and will haunt your dreams . Some of them were also pretty disgusting and disturbing , that’s all what we wait for in a saw franchise movie . The movie itself is very intense and represents a very good thriller/horror movie with always very impressive plot twists at the end of it . The shots are very well done and all the global ambiance of the movie leaves us in a complete dark , in that lab lost in the middle of nowhere . I really liked the colours put in evidence just like the green that really reminds us of the OG saw movies . To conclude , this saw movie was very well directed and made and represents an excellent comeback for the saw franchise . I would say this movie is legendary because of the plot twist that are really well done and scripted . I wish one day i would forget about all the Saw movies and just go back in time and get always surprised by their plot twists that are always more and more impressive and leaves us mouth wide open . I highly reccomend this horror/thriller to give us some chills and for anyone looking for a gory style of movie to watch ! Don't hesitate to leave a review below <3

I fell completely in love with this film starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep. It tells the story of the legendary Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue.

The Devil Wears Prada is gripping and inspiring, with a touch of chaos between the boss, Miranda Priestly, and Andrea Sachs, an intern journalist. Behind the glitz and glamour, The Devil Wears Prada teaches us a powerful lesson: Don't let anyone tell you it's impossible. No matter what you want to do, you can achieve it with willpower and hard work.

Rottentomatoes review : Se7en

Se7en is a movie released in 1995 and directed by David Fincher. It follows the investigation of two detectives trying to find the responsible for a serie of crimes. They try to hunt him and discover that his crimes are based on the "seven deadly sins".

The film explores the way the two detectives track the serial killer. Detective Somerset is a soon-to-be retiree, he has a lot of experience and tries to find the culprit methodically by trying to get into the killer's mind, studying about the sins. On the other hand, Detective Mills, a young detective, don't believe in his methods, and wants to solve the case immediately.

I find the idea of using the "seven deadly sins" as a serie of crimes really interesting and well-thought as well as the opposition between the main characters : one methodical and the other bold and inexperienced, forming a great pair.

The efforts put into the visuals and the music allow us to be really immersed in the story. It wasn't dragging, but very well-paced, I didn't get bored while watching it. It makes you think about what could be next and that's why I loved it.

Se7en is an incredible film with a gripping story, combined with the amazing and believable performance of Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt. I really enjoyed the film and it becomes more and more interesting as you watch. It ends with a thought provoking ending, quite unpredictable.

It is very touching to follow the life of a men who commits in NAVY SEALS army. Bradley Cooper’s performance is remarkable, capturing both the strength and vulnerability of his character. Director Clint Eastwood manages to create an intense atmosphere while addressing the complex themes of war, honor, and the psychological consequences of combat. A poignant film that stays with you long after the credits roll.

It created an indelible memory and emotional effect.

The cinematography isn't boring or superfluous. I think it can appeal to a wide range of audiences, which is really important and powerfull !

I recently watched this movie and I found myself very confused; indeed, I have mixed feelings about it.

On one hand, it is an iconic performance by Liam Neeson (he is so charismatic), and the cinematography is world-class.

The visuals are always breathtaking, despite the fact that a lot of them were shot at night.

But, on the other hand, it is also quite trite. There are also some scenes where it is clearly overdone.

In conclusion, I would say that this movie could have been a masterclass, but unfortunately, it loses itself in too much gunfighting. The story would have been much better if it were a little longer and if they had devoted more time to character development.URL:https://www.canva.com/design/DAG1SZEsvz4/yyHfe035kJ2clvv_lOhbag/view?utm_content=DAG1SZEsvz4&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=h6a627915f3

Jurassic Park: The Lost World is hands down one of the worst sequels ever made. The plot is confusing and doesn’t make any sense—like the filmmakers just threw random dinosaur scenes together without caring about the story. The characters are forgettable and completely unlikeable, making it impossible to care about what happens to them. The CGI dinosaurs look fake and cheap compared to the original, ruining any sense of awe. Plus, the pacing is terrible, dragging on forever with boring scenes that add nothing. Spielberg and his screenwriter David Koepp have missed the most crucial lesson from the films they’ve drawn from: if your characters aren’t compelling, at least make your monsters unforgettable. Darker both visually and thematically than its predecessor, The Lost World feels like formulaic entertainment. It lacks the sense of wonder found in the first film—perhaps an inevitable outcome. Even more disappointing, however, is that it also lacks the original’s heart Overall, this movie is a huge disappointment and should have been left lost in the editing room.

This movie tries to mix horror and comedy but ends up feeling more ridiculous than scary. The story is predictable, and the humor often falls flat. While Jennifer Tilly brings some charm and dark fun, the rest of the film relies too much on cheap shocks and bad jokes. The special effects look old, and the plot lacks real tension or emotion. Overall, Bride of Chucky feels more like a bad parody than a true horror movie. I REALLY don't like this movie, I think it was a waste of time.

Frankenweenie:

I might not be fully objective, because this movie is the first one that I cried while watching. However, even by being strictly unbiased, it is a very good piece, whether you think of it in a cinematographic way or through the original plot and characters. Indeed, the idea to create a black and white movie alongside the stop motion technique used really show the Tim Burton touch a film needs to be complete. Victor and Sparky's relationship is so cute, but it is great that the director has shown how difficult it is to go through grief and that science is neither good nor bad but both, it's all about how and why you use it.

Lightyear:

This film was honestly painful to watch, especially as a Toy story fan. The plot, the characters, the dialogues were boring and quite useless in my opinion. I hated it from the start to the end, and if it wasn't for the respect of people in the room, I would have left the theater right away.

The Matrix :

To be honest, one of the best sci-fi movies I've ever seen because it really goes through the question of "do we really live in the world we live in", really thought-provoking and well-paced : everything isn't explained and laid out to you : you have to follow the storyline and understand by yourself (more immersive than usual Sci-fi movies). It aged a bit, yeah, but still has impressive effects and CGI is specific to this movie, a revolutionary futuristic style with new ways of editing (at the time it was published). The music is also more original than usual with Rage Against The Machine and electro/grunge music that really goes well with the overall atmosphere.

And surprisingly, the following movies are as good as this one (maybe less impressive because effects were less surprising) with a well-thought storyline and effects obviously.

Ant man :

Amusing to see but honestly was a bit boring for me, very predictable plot and no originality anywhere... Good actors thought, I have nothing bad to say about them, maybe a bit overacted but that's all. And again, there is no music to carry the movie so it feels a bit empty. But I liked it better than other marvels so yeah not that bad, just a bit boring.

M3GAN is a horror film.

M3GAN started with an interesting idea—a highly advanced robotic doll meant to protect a child—but the film ends up falling into all the typical horror clichés without ever really surprising the audience. The plot is completely predictable, with forced twists that lack any credibility. The characters are shallow and lack depth, making it hard to connect with them or feel any real tension. The atmosphere, which should be suspenseful, is often undermined by moments that border on the ridiculous or unintentionally comical. Finally, despite some decent special effects, the film never manages to create a truly scary vibe, leaving a sense of déjà vu and disappointment. In short, M3GAN promised a new high-tech horror icon but remains a shallow and flavorless entertainment.

The movie The Platform tries to show social inequality between rich and poor, but it does not do it very well. The idea of the platform that goes down with food is interesting, but the film is often too long and repetitive. We see the same things many times, and it becomes boring.

The characters are not well developed, and it is hard to care about them. The film is also very pessimistic, without giving hope or solutions, which can make the viewer feel discouraged. Also, the images are cold and simple, so the story is not very exciting.

In the end, The Platform had a good topic, but the movie does not make it interesting or emotional.

The Outsiders is a book adaptation released in 1983. I read the book first, so my review might be a little biased. The book is amazing but the film wasn’t up to my expectations. The dialogues are directly taken from the book, it’s not developed and doesn’t feel natural at all. The acting isn’t really believable and compelling. The film was supposed to be poignant; a good adaptation would have added depth to the characters and to the story.

Apart from this, the visuals are great, not exceptional but good.

However, I think the film was good when it was released but really didn’t age well.

Still, it’s filled with gags and funny jokes that makes you enjoy these 3 hours about the life of Jordan Belfort, a stockbroker played by the one and only Leonardo DiCaprio. His wife is played by Margot Robbie – the most charismatic actor ever - so you know from the start that the duet make for a masterpiece. It detained the Guinness World record for the most instances of profanity in a film counting an average of 2.81 bad words per minute, and despite appeared on several “best of the year” lists.

Catch Me If You Can is a masterpiece in storytelling, blending humor, suspense, and emotional depth directed by Steven Spielberg.

Based on the true story of Frank Abagnale Jr, a young con artist who evaded the FBI for years. Leonardo DiCaprio, as Frank, is delivering a brilliant acting and give a to the character, while Tom Hanks is equally outstanding as Carl Hanratty, the determined FBI agent chasing him. Their chemistry is key to the film’s success, turning what could have been a typical cat-and-mouse story into a deeper exploration of identity, deception, and unlikely friendship.

Spielberg’s direction ensures the film is fast-paced and engaging, with sharp writing that balances lighter moments with more poignant, emotional beats. Set against the colorful backdrop of the 1960s, the film’s period details, combined with a fantastic soundtrack, immerse the audience in a nostalgic yet thrilling adventure.

I would say that Catch Me If You Can is not only an gripping crime story but also a touching journey about personal connections and redemption.

Whiplash is a 2014 American Psychological film written and directed by Damien Chazelle, starring Miles Teller, J. It focuses on an ambitious music student and aspiring jazz drummer (played by Teller), who is pushed to his limit by his abusive instructor (played by Simmons) at the fictional Shaffer Conservatory in New York City. It is very well-paced as the movie keeps you entertained in every scene, we get mixed emotions about the second first character, the instructor, and don’t really know if he’s a good guy or not. Still, he encouraged the principal character development and we feel overbeared like the drummer throughout the movie. That stresses us all the way long til the end. The movie is strangely compelling and snappy, and is the way the director created an accurately-feeling (of the drummer) movie, is breathtaking. It grossed for a worldwide total of $50.4 million against a budget of $3.3 million. It is marked 94% on RT – such a great movie, one of my favorites!

Also, the film is eye-catching and has a lot of action that makes us being into it. However, the movie has a bad continuity that make actions of dinosaurs and characters really predictable by viewers. The movie, even if the emotions of the characters are changing a lot, is a bit exaggerated and take us out of the story. I love the plot of a guy, he want to be a driver but he just played at the race video game and after he realizes his dream but in real life. “Gran Turismo “is an excellent film to encourage us not to give up on our dreams . Also, the visual is really realistic, when I watched the movie it’s like I was with the characters. We feel like we are with him (the main character) because his acting is real and authentic and we feel his emotions as if they were us.

So my opinion about this movie, “Gran Turismo” is very good for its story, it's action with the racing cars and the end at the film.

I think that boxing is one of the best cinematic sport because of the stakes of the fights and the evolution of his level to become a rising mondial star. The shots during the fights are really gritty and we feel like we are in the movie, in the action of the battle and we fight with Andonis alias the legend Creed. This movie is a real masterpiece, i definitly recommend it !!!

F1 The Movie aims to capture the thrill and danger of Formula 1 racing through a blend of Hollywood storytelling and real F1 footage. The film’s technical execution is stunning, and the racing scenes are believable because of collaboration with real F1 teams. But if you want realism in every details, you’ll likely be disappointed. However, if you want an exciting ride, it delivers most of what it promises. Some scenes are very magnetic and breathtaking. It stands as a visually exhilarating tribute to motorsport, more about adrenaline and spectacle than deep character study. I think the end is not very worked out, and a little bit too predictable, but overall, F1 is a good movie.

Rottten tomatoes review Barbie: the movie

Barbie the movie is one of the best movies of 2023. We can also say it’s a masterpiece. A lot of people loves the pink universe and the fact that the movie is about chilhood dolls. The plot could be the same as children created when they were younger. For me, this movie makes us come back in childhood, when I played with barbie dolls with my friends. The casting is composed of famous actors like Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, so it attracts more viewers. The acting is fine and the soundtrack is a good match with the universe. Moreover, the actors sang so it adds a touch of orininality. There is a very deep work behind the outfits as the childhood dolls costumes

Despite this, she is determined to solve the case, as it involves many people suffering from diseases caused by a large factory that has polluted their water, leading to cancer.

Released in 2000, this movie showcases the full range of Julia Roberts' talent. Her outstanding acting and the energy she brings to the role make it unforgettable.

The movie captivates our attention because the plot, based on a true story, is incredibly moving. We become deeply attached to the victims and are compelled to see how it all unfolds. I highly recommend this movie—you won’t be disappointed!

The energy, the parties, and the glamour all look perfect, but behind it, everything feels so empty. The ending just breaks your heart, it’s that kind of beauty that hurts in silence.

I knew the world was bad, but I could’ve never imagined we had come to such a low point.
This film had me questioning if the word 'movie' could even be used to describe such garbage, as it would be an insult to Hollywood.

Had it been for the forced acting, unrealistic dialogues, unnerving characters, or bad jokes, every aspect of the movie had me cringing and wondering about my life decisions. Was it really meant for me to spend my Saturday night in such torture? What led me to become friends with the deranged person who recommended this film to me? Did Netflix really think it was a good business decision to help produce this?

My 6-year-old cousin and her friends come up with better stories than this, following a structured plotline from beginning to end—something an entire movie crew apparently cannot accomplish.

I am not lying when I say this movie changed me for the very worst. It left me bitter, drained, and hopeless for the industry. You may think I am being dramatic, but if you had watched only 10 minutes of the movie, you’d think I was being merciful. Those were two hours of my life I have forever lost, and I do not recommend it.

1917 by Sam Mendes is a visually stunning war film, with its one-shot technique that really immerse you in the action. The story follows two British soldiers during WWI, who must deliver an urgent message to save lives. The film does a great job of showing the horrors and tension of war, with intense battle scenes and ruined landscapes. The technical side is amazing, especially with Roger Deakins' cinematography, which keeps you glued to the screen without cutting. However, when it comes to emotions, the movie falls a bit short. While the journey feels intense, the characters don’t really get a lot of depth, so you don’t feel super connected to them. Overall, 1917 is a visually beautiful and technically impressive film, but it could do more in terms of character development and emotional depth.

ChatGPT a dit :

Here is your corrected text with changes highlighted:

1917, by Sam Mendes, is a visually stunning war film, with its one-shot technique that really immerses you in the action.

Don’t Worry Darling is a dystopian film released in 2022. This movie is a science fiction film. It takes place in the 50s and follows the story of a married couple in their 30s, living a dreamy, smooth, and happy life. The wife, played by Florence Pugh, is a homemaker, and the husband, Harry Styles, works at an idyllic enterprise called Victory. His work is a mystery to both us and his wife throughout the film. Victory is also responsible for everything, and the boss is like a god to his employees. At the beginning, everything seems perfect, but Alice feels that something is off, spurred by the strange reactions and the suicide of her friend. This movie has a gripping story that is thought-provoking and makes you hold your breath. We feel so angry for her in the face of Jack Chambers' reactions, which don’t make sense at all, and he becomes a worse husband with every passing minute. Florence Pugh delivers a compelling performance, and the visuals are really easy on the eyes. The plot is amazing, and the story explores many relevant issues. I think this film, even if it may not be liked by everyone, is worth the watch.

This film is a biography of Frida Kahlo’s life, especially after her accident as a teen and so the beginning of her life as a painter.

As we go deeper into the story we get to understand Frida’s view of the world, her values, political opinions and the unconditional love she had for her country. Of course, the focus is also on her health problems and her push and pull relationship with the artist Diego Rivera.

I had no expectations when I first watched this motion picture, but every scene amazed me for its character and an originality that could only leave me thinking Julie Taymour (the director) is a genius even though I don’t know half of her work. Her creativity simply seems endless and Salma Hayek’s (the leading actress) performance is breathtaking as well (to a point she was nominated at the 2003 Academy Awards for best actress).

A detail that stuck with me is the seamless way Kahlo’s art is integrated into the scenery, here again a proof of Taymour’s talent.

The movie goes hand in hand with a beautiful soundtrack of Mexican music and exquisite costumes with bold colors and high contrasts.

To sum up, this film was raw, true, inspiring and heartbreaking and I would recommend it to anyone whether it’s for its stunning technical aspects or the multiple approaches on the life of Mexico’s most famous artist.

Review Midsommar by your favourite critique writter <3

Midsommar was released in 2019 and is considered a basic horror movie. The cast selected for this movie is indeed very interesting, with Florence Pugh playing an amazing role—I can’t deny it. However, this movie is extremely disturbing and is not recommended for horror movie newbies or anyone looking for a casual horror watch. Director Ari Aster’s sophomore effort presents a visually arresting yet narratively incoherent meditation on grief, culture, and human depravity. This movie is a very hard psychological movie that will most likely leave sequels on your mind. Even I, who went to Sweden and fell in love with the country, got a little scared by this so-called "Midsummer" fest that is a tradition in Sweden.

From the outset, Midsommar lumbers through a plodding, emotionally vacant story where moments of potential horror are suffocated by long, meandering sequences and overly drawn-out symbolism. While the sun-drenched Swedish landscapes provide a stark contrast to the grim subject matter, they also expose the film’s lack of subtlety and restraint, as it desperately clings to a foreboding atmosphere that never quite materializes. Ultimately, Midsommar tries too hard to be thought-provoking and avant-garde, yet it falters under the weight of its own self-importance. What could have been a chilling and poignant exploration of grief and cultural clash is instead a pretentious, meandering ordeal that leaves you more bewildered than unsettled. While the film’s unsettling imagery and strong performances offer fleeting moments of intrigue, the lack of depth and narrative cohesion renders it ultimately forgettable. So, indeed, we can say that the movie is plain and lacks many good opportunities to be a truly deep movie about grief but makes us regret watching it. I do recommend it for anyone mentally strong enough to look at disturbing and gross images, but anyone more sensitive should please pass your way!

Don't hesitate leaving a comment <3

All the actors, play very well ans when you watch this movie you are really into it. At the first minute of the movie, i thought the movie goins to be so bad and boring. After few minutes we are taken by the story. The decor is really impressive despite the fact that a lot of them were shot at night. The story is not banal and in my opinion we see movie like that once on a decade. I love it also because the realisator made a supens end and the people who are lokking need to invent the rest of the story. the plot twist is so close to perfection but i really need an end or a shutter island 2. I think this movie is a real masterclass. T

The Notting Hill movie is such a classic romantic movie ! IT IS A MUST SEE ! The result is as charming and wistful as the actors have proven themselves to be. The acting is so good and Julia Roberts is stunning ! It is a cinematic holiday from the drab realities of life. It's kinda look like a fairy tale movie because all of the romantic movie are unfortunately not the truth.

The Menu is a visually stunning film directed by Mark Mylod, who is best known for his work on HBO’s Game of Thrones. Blending dark comedy with psychological horror, the movie dives into the high-stakes world of fine dining.

The acting is convincing, and the film’s pacing offers some clever twists and an emotionally powerful finale. The cinematography is exceptional, delivering striking and elegant visuals. Mylod’s direction feels bold and controlled, and the characters are intriguing.

However, certain parts of the story move a bit too slowly, and the film sometimes struggles to fully flesh out its characters, making it harder to connect with them emotionally.
