Use Skittles (or whatever reward you have in your classroom) to praise those students who are on task and following directions. Try not to always focus on the negative behaviors.

Couch Potatoes (or something similar)

I have my children vote each day at dismissal who was showing exceptional citizenship or just who went above and beyond for the day. That student gets to sit on the couch or have another special visible reward. It really encourages community.

Add a Little Play to Your Day

At the end of the day, they are still children and they do some of their best learning through play and games. Play increases engagement, builds stamina, and increases curiosity and a desire for learning. Building fine and gross motor skills are essential for writing and cutting. Playdoh, blocks, magna tiles, puzzles, tweezers and pompoms, coloring with markers, pens, crayons, etc., manipulative letters and numbers, cars and trucks are just a few ideas of ways to add a few play centers to your classroom.
