In the Olympics for school we had to design models of curling, ski jumping, and bobsledding. For every olympic event I had a partner. For ski jumping I was with Jackson but he wasn't here so I worked alone. For bobsledding I was with Talia. For curling I was with Kate. I learned that if you want to win really bad don't rush to make your model take it easy. If I could do anything differently I would make my model slowly and carefully. We went to finals and the people in our class who made it was Isaac and Wyatt for curling, Talia and Jordan G. for ski jumping, and Dylan for bobsledding. Isaac and Wyatt got in 2nd place, Talia and Jordan G. got in 3rd place, and Dylan got in 3rd place.

The hardest thing was taping our thumbs it was sticky and uncomfortable. We solved the problem by having Mrs. Dietz tape them! I felt relaxed because I knew we could do it when we were stuck and couldn't get the tape around our thumb but I got one thumb. I would like to keep my thumb because its special and for sports it is really helpful and you need them for like basketball to shoot and pass.

I am going to tell you about muscles. There are 600 or more muscles in your body. There is the Skeletal Muscle, Cardiac Muscle, and the Smooth Muscle. The Skeletal Muscle moves the bones in the body, the Cardiac Muscle are the heart muscles, and the Smooth Muscles move the organs of the body. Your muscles are needed for all types of movement, pumping blood, and breathing. There is voluntary movement and involuntary movement. Voluntary movement is an action you can control and Involuntary movement is and action you can't control. While I was experiencing muscle fatigue my body was producing lactic acid. I learned that your muscles work hard everyday. That's what I learned during the activities.

With the hot water and the room temperature washers we measured the temperature of the water then after that we put the washers in and measured the washers we also measured the control cup and the temperature of the washers were 80 degrees fahrenheit the after temperature was 89 degrees fahrenheit the temperature of the water in the control cup was 103 degrees fahrenheit the after temperature was 89 degrees fahrenheit and the temperature of the water in our cup was 120 degrees fahrenheit the after temperature was 95 degrees fahrenheit. For the second investigation we put the washers into the room temperature water. Then we measured the temperature of our cup which was 75 degrees fahrenheit the after temperature was 90 degrees fahrenheit. Then we put the washers into the control cup that had hot water in it. The temperature in the control cup was 72 degrees fahrenheit the after temperature was the same as it was before. Then we measured the temperature of the washers which was 110 degrees fahrenheit, the after tmeperature was 78 degrees. The temperature went down because the water cooled off.
