Maybe, first, there are simple definitions students should know like; a fact, a rumour, an opinion, a fake news, malinformation, disinformation, misinformation, clickbait, rumours....
Followed by concrete games and activities to understand why media literacy is important.

Then continue with complex activities which would involve the students in browsing the net and other sources of info around them to find info in order to use them to create a product like a podcast, article writing... on a dedicated topic.

It is important for the students to know some reliable sources of information so that they can always cross the info they find; it is important to 
It's important to guide them differently according o their age with different processes.

Photos andillustrations should be delt with too.
With older students, it's interesting to thinkabout the reasons of these non democratic behaviours: disorders, conspiracy theories..

We can also teach media literacy indirectly teaching the students the difference between fiction en reality for example.
