Influenza effected almost every part of the world during its epidemic

Around 675,000 people died from the flu alone. The government banned public gatherings along with kids going to school, and the opening of theaters and stores. They also implemented the recommendation of people wearing masks and more strict sanitation rules.

The sickness hit the Allied and Central forces pretty equally. Influenza killed more Americans soldiers during WWI than the enemy weapons did.

First Battle of the Marne was a great strategic victory, as it enabled the French to continue the war. However, the Germans succeeded in capturing a large part of the industrial north east of France

Northern France

Over 250,000 died. In the First Battle of Ypres their strategy was to push the Germans back against the sea. Some of their leaders were Joseph Joffre Ferdinand, Foch Albert l John, and Erich con Falkenhayn.

300,000 people died. The British Fourth Army to break through in the centre, while the Third Army in the north and French Sixth Army to the south made diversionary attacks. Some of the leaders were Douglas Haig Ferdinand, Foch Henry Rawlinson, and Émile Fayolle Hubert.
