Of course, I did not know there would be a pandemic that caused me to lose my job. I used that time to really figure out what I wanted to do with my life. After working for the study abroad company, I realized the business world was not for me. My aunt inspired me to pursue a career in teaching since she actually changed her career in her early 40's to become a teacher. I received my bachelor degree from Virginia Tech in International Studies and German Language and Literature. One year of my college experience was spent studying abroad in Munich, Germany. This year abroad really shaped my college experience and who I am today. After college, I decided to move back to Europe and work as an English Language Assistant in a bilingual public school in Madrid, Spain. I also worked for a Spanish family as an au pair both of those years which gave me more chances to immerse in the culture.
