Program: UROC-PREP Program/Ronald E. McNair Achievement Program

Pay rate: Annualized rate of $34,919. For a part-time/20 hours per week/.5fte position, $17,459.50 for the Academic Year ($8,729.75 per semester) and then Supplemental Comp for the summer $21.82/hour for up to 20 hours per week.

FTE: 20 hours per week with start date to be Monday, January 3, 2022. To work semesters: spring 2022, summer 2022, and fall 2022.

Description: This is a year-round Graduate Teaching Assistant position to provide classroom instruction and support in UROC courses to include:

· ENGL 340: Topics in Professional and Technical Writing (spring 2022)

· GRAD 495: Professional Writing (summer 2022)

· GRAD 496A: The Graduate School Application (fall 2022)

All courses are offered as part of The University of Arizona’s (UA) UROC-PREP/Ronald E. McNair Achievement Program, which is sponsored by the UA Graduate College, and provide low-income, first-generation college, and underrepresented students with opportunities and activities to develop the skills necessary to excel in their academic studies and assistance in admission into top graduate (Master’s and PhD) programs.
