Amy Carlson was the leader of Love has Won but to all of her followers, she is known as "Mother God", Mother or Mom. Amy believed that she had contact with Williams, Marilyn Monroe, Whitney Houston and many other famous deceased individuals. She was able to 'contact' them, she called these individuals the "Galatics"

Amy was a mother of three, who she abandoned to go out west to join AmeithEagle. This was the beginning of Love has Won.

- Amy asked to be taken to the hospital, but members refused as a '3D hospital' would not know what to do with "Mother's" body.
- Amy requested to see her family and members did not want her to see her "earth family"

They used testimonies from members who had profound spiritual moments within the group. An example of this is with "Archangel Micheal Silver" who stated that his cancer was cured by "Mother God".

They emphasized on emotional appeals such as love, spiritual fulfillment and community to lure individuals into their group.

Would manage how members tried to spend their money. For example, Sarah (a former member) tried to purchase pizza when first arising and he informed her they do not spend money on food.

Facebook was the beginning platform for Love has Won, but formally known as "First Ground Contact Crew Team". With the expansion of technology, the internet and what social media could do the group was able to reach thousands of people through livestreams. Individuals live-streamed almost every day, including the passing of "Mom". They used the live streams and spiritual healing sessions to coax listeners to come to their camp. They had a following number of 20k on Facebook and 10k on Youtube.

An anomie, the state of normlessness or breakdown of social norms and values, was at stake. It typically occurs when there is significant social change or stress, which leads to feelings of loneliness or lack of purpose. With Americans losing their homes and jobs and the economy plummeting it brought upon a lot of uncertainty, anxiety and stress. Love has Won was the perfect opportunity for individuals to come to in this time of uncertainty.

World-Rejecting NRM

Love has Won can be considered an NRM because of their rejection to mainstream societal norms, creating a community that focused on spiritual ascension. They believed that current society followed a 3D secular view which was evil. They avoided normal activities, such as eating, as it would diminish their vibration in the 5D world. Members were waiting for "Mother" to ascend into the 5D world. They believed that the "cabal" ran the world and was determined to keep the world in a low-vibration state.

The majority of the members were young individuals who had reached a point in their lives when they were looking for answers about spirituality. Live streams coaxed individuals to come to the house in Crestone, Colorado. Members had issues with the health care system that caused them to lose their trust in the system.

one member woke up from a coma with a medical bill of over a half million dollars.

There is no true distinct factor that separates these members from society. There were older members, younger members, members from rich families, and others from poor families. However, there were similarities between them. They suffered from childhood trauma, separated families, healthcare insecurity, addiction, and longing for community and spirituality.

Members lost contact to their families. Erin, a member, brought her three children to the house in Crestone but a couple years later her children were taken by their grandparents to return back to their home. She did not reunite with them until Amy had passed.

Although it was not mandatory, some members 'donated' their entire life savings to Love has Won.

Members eating habits were heavily neglected and they lost a unhealthy amount of weight while within the group. Members also heavily drank and indulged with drugs, such as marijuana, methamphetamine, and psychedelics which had a large influence on their mental status and capabilities. Andrew, former member and "Father God" #3, states that they were high from the moment they woke until the went to sleep.

They were interested in holistic health and were skeptical of traditional authority figures that paved the way for the 3D society. They grasped people who were yearning for New Age ideas and countercultures.

- Amy Wilson stated that she was the reincarnation of many famous and well-known individuals
- spiritual practices such as drinking colloidal silver to heal their medical issues
self-help cult -> also called psychotherapy, human potential and mass transformational cults, aimed at personal transformation and improvement
- this group used methods like long mediations, confessions and listening to intense music
  - in the documentary, there was a scene where Father Jason would start off the morning blasting loud rock music and would dance and scream around the house
- started with self-improvement sessions that coerced individuals to reside at the permanent 'Love Has Won' residence
