I do agree, however, that certain people do depend on their religion, but I don't believe that dependence is the essence of religion. I feel that independence is the true essence of religion because, if anything, religion is teaching you to grow and become one with yourself as well as God. Religion, especially Catholicism, teaches that one cannot always depend on God for everything because God works in many ways, but he is unable to magically turn, for example, your History grade from a C to an A. You have to work hard and independently to receive the A you want. In one part specifically, Jesus depends on God when it is towards his death. In this part of the Bible, Jesus is depending on God and his own actions. He is asking God if he has done the right thing instead of depending on and believing in himself. Mary depended on God sometimes, but Jesus depended on God throughout his whole life. Jesus wanted God and his people to be proud of him and always did what God told him to do. Jesus' life was planned out by God before he was even conceived, so he was always dependent on God from the start. Jesus was never truly able to be independent, for God always told him what to do. When in a crisis, Jesus would turn to God to tell him what to do.  Anna's work is very personal an vivid. She did a great job personalizing her work!

Anna includes visuals for all of her responses. 
4    Are the visuals interesting  complementary to the text,  evocative,  compelling in some way…  Or are they boring?  Or a copy of others’? 
 The visuals are really nice and relative to the answers. I like that she used personal photos of her and her friends and family, as it makes it more personal.
5  Is the drawing/computer art meaningful?   Does it convey a message?  Something your partner’s exploring?  Something your partner sees in her/their heart or mind’s eye?  Is it something you can see that your partner put effort into creating so to share one’s voice visually + uniquely?   (It’s not about artistic talent, but message!) 
 I love Anna's computer art drawing! It is fantastic and looks so beautiful! I want Anna to teach me computer art.

 I don't have any big suggestions, as everything looks great and is interesting!

 I like Anna's honesty. It's clear she really took the assignment seriously and talked about herself personally.
8  What do you see in a new way for having engaged your partner’s work?   
 I see how Mary was independent and did not solely depend on God in a different way, and I actually agree with Anna's post more than my own!
