Rather than just reading about the process of a powerpoint, the illustrations in the video were very well done. The plant is an dicot angiosperm because it produces a flower during June and July and its has 5 petals. The plant is most abundant after a fire because its extensive root system protects it. The plant can be found in pine wood areas. However, as the pines have matured, they have blocked sunlight to the plants, causing them to be on the endangered list.

Carbon dioxide levels would rise, increasing global temperatures, and water levels would rise. The most prominent change that took place was that human migration decreased, and people began to settle into small villages. Humans no longer needed to live a nomadic lifestyle, searching for their next source of food. Plant domestication required more people to tend to the crops. The active ingredient in aspirin is salicylic acid. The earliest recorded use of salicylic acid dates back 4,000 years ago during the Sumerian era. People would use willow bark to treat pain, fevers, and inflammation. Even the father of medicine, Hippocrates, would recommend patients to chew willow bark to alleviate their pain. However, salicylic acid caused many stomach issues when consumed, and it wasn’t till the 1800s that salicylic acid was chemically modified into acetylsalicylic acid. The body would absorb the new molecule and convert it into salicylic acid in the stomach without discomfort. Thus, the modern aspirin was created. By the 1900s the modern aspirin tablet was available over the counter to the public. If we do not find and practice sustainable environmental practices, there will be no more resources to use; the ground, water, and air will be polluted. Without social sustainability we risk protecting the wellbeing of current and future generations; people will be left out of even meeting basic needs, such as equal rights.
