The value of bitcoin depends on how many people buy bitcoin, and that money goes to the company to generate more and the process goes on. The price in late 2017 to early 2018 is about 24,000$ for one bitcoin.
so if you have 24$ in bitcoin you have 0.0000024$ of a bitcoin.

Bitcoin mining is a different concept. In a nutshell you're using your GPU (Graphics Card)
and CPU (Processor) from your PC to "mine" bitcoin for the company and in return they pay you in bitcoin. But it's not that easy and bitcoin mining can take a lot of money. The specs of your GPU needs to be enough or else you can over heat it and cause long term damage. The minimum I recommend is a GTX 1050ti which is about 250$ and better GPU's can cost you up to 2000$ - 9000$. don't worry about the higher ones if you want to start mining.

If you want to start mining the first thing you need is a place to store the bitcoin when you receive them. If you don't own a paypal, don't worry you don't even need a credit card. CoinBase will let you store Bitcoin and will allow you to spend it as well. Just make an account and it will give you a wallet code to cash out your money.

Next you need a mining program such as NiceHash, MIneGate and so on. Ones will work better on different computers. I recommend MineGate.

when you download your miner make an account on the website and connect it to the miner so you can cash it out. Now you're all good to mine Bitcoin and ill also put a video to help people with more info.

There are a lot of pros to Bitcoin and why I think it's great. The first pro is Bitcoin will always go up in price which is a good thing. Say I buy 0.00000024$ of a bitcoin (Which is 24.00$ in real money) And the price of bitcoin changes from 24,000$ to 30,000$ that 0.00000024$ (24.00$) will change into for say 0.000000027$ (27.00$). Another Pro is people can't see what you buy which is another level of privacy but can lead to some cons.

If you invest to much in Bitcoin and then everybody gives up on it you can go broke. Bitcoin is non-traceable which can open up to drugs and even weapons. You cannot use bitcoin for say at Walmart but you can buy things online with it such as "Wallet" a amazon like website where you can use bitcoin to buy things off of amazon.

Bitcoin might be a decent way to get extra cash but it is not for rookies when it comes to your computer. If you don't have a powerful enough PC it could fry the CPU. So be careful when mining. Next is installing a miner since some have viruses that take over your computer and uses it to mine bitcoin for the
01111 their use and can result in your PC breaking.
