Through this guided tour I have witnessed how Singapore has given artist from all over the world a platform to showcase their art work. We can introduce these art work to the students to spark their curiosity and promote self directed learning.

Letting the students know how the airport promotes a self sustainable environment can also help them integrate the knowledge in ALP projects.

The design and construction of Jewel ride on the proven success of technology tested and implemented in other places in Singapore, such as the cooling system in GBTB. In schools, various departments and programmes can ride on the success and tested pedagogy or processes in the running of new initiatives. This is also inline with 80/20 principle.

I have learnt that a lot of innovations and hard work goes into the building of this jewel which makes it a well known landmark and iconic place in Singapore. I will share these with students whenever possible and hopefully interest them to go and find out more on their own.

Thank you for organizing this PD, I have learnt a lot of fun facts about Jewel which I wasn't aware of before... perhaps can see what are the places in Singapore that are worth exploring in SG for future PD which have similar pace as the Jewel one today.

As Jewel is considered one of Singapore’s pride in terms of infrastructure.

For next year’s PD, we can probably have a chill out session at a board game cafe where we can get to try playing different kinds of board games. This can aid in inspiring us to come up with more interesting activities involving play.

Jewel has shown me how blending nature, technology and design thinking an transform a space into an uplifting and educational experience for individuals. By bringing these principles into my teaching, I will be able to create a richer, more effective, and enjoyable learning experience for my pupils.

I can integrate these insights into my work by applying some of the elements into my teaching. Technology wise, more hands-on and interactive activities with simple digital elements such as QR-coded hints or interactive quizzes can be incorporated into teaching to engage different learning styles. We can also foster environmental literacy by providing more pupils with the opportunity to embark on project whereby they can plan, plant, observe, and maintain greenery over time. Finally, to trigger design thinking, we can encourage P1-6 pupils to prototype solutions, for e.g. new classroom zones or peer support systems, test them, and refine based on feedback from all stakeholders.

We can have a learning journey to local farms such as Kok Fah Technology Farm or City Sprouts urban farm. Visits to these places provide immersive experiences that can inspire innovative teaching practices and offer insights into Singapore's rich cultural and agricultural heritage.

The discovery jewel tour, I learn about the unique roof, unique architecture, sustainable design, such as the use of eco-friendly materials. The Rain Vortex at Jewel is the world's largest indoor waterfall in Singapore, it utilizes a water recycling system. It collects rainwater and recirculates it through a closed-loop system, minimizing water waste.

We can leverage the insights gained from Jewel's success as a national asset to strengthen Singapore's brand and promote national pride into NE during MT CCE lessons.
