If a patron says they do not want their change, set it off to the side and help someone out who is a little short (on money, not height, or I will add it to the vending. I really appreciate that you don't keep it for yourselves since it's against policy. :) I just want to make sure it's not causing your tills to be off.

The counterfeit detector pens are in. I have put tape around the handle, so hopefully they don't run away. Please use them to check any bills that are $10 or more. If the bill is good, the pen will write in yellow. If it is fake, it will turn a dark brown color. If this happens, call a Merit. The patron may not even know they have a counterfeit bill, so don't assume it is theirs originally. Just tell them there is a problem with the system and you have to wait for a manager. So far throughout the county they have found $10 and $20 bills that are counterfeit, so please make sure you check those amount and anything greater.
