- My parents gave me a name that starts with “R” because both their name starts with that letter was not really thought well.

- My third grade teacher gave me started calling me “Winnie” as in “Winnie the Pooh” she said I always look at something good in the bad situation .

A teacher or professors especially knowing and sensing that this certain individual has a cultural bias the way he/she approach, mingle, talks. Knowing that a professor have a cultural bias. It is showing respect to elders, asking for them to bless you to whatever you are about to do or just letting them know that you respec that person. This is one culture that I thought my children, that even though we are here in a different country, even you do not agree and have different opinion, always show respect to others especially to the elders. I have been cultivated with literacy from watching movies, singing songs using social media, web engine searching, etc.  And it is flowing because it does not stop on one thing, it consistently providing me knowledge to earn in simple things I do everyday. How will i be able to help the student learn or understand if the language itself is the barer. How will I be able to make that student comfortable and welcome if I cannot speak or understand their language.
