the book is about lawyer, Andy bringing his dogs on a walk in snow and one of his golden retriever, Tara uncovers a murdered victim Mayor Alex Oliva, who had an infamous relationship with the newspaper. Bobby Nash was the newspaper reporter that Oliva fired for libel. Bobby became the prime suspect as he was discovered in a dead car crash with his body full of drugs. in addition, Olivia's blood was found inside and mayor Alex Oliva's wife claims to the police that bobby had called and threatened her husband before the accident. Bobby is in desperate to find a lawyer to back him up as his evidences turned out to be fake. Vince, an editor of the local newspaper, friends with Bobby and Andy, persuaded Andy to take on the case. Andy uncovers a complicated series of corruption and quickly determines that bobby was framed. As Andy was closer to discover the truth, his life was threatened, why? Will he be able to save Bobby? how would the jury respond?

the story plot is luring as at the end of every chapter it just gives you hints on her death which leads me wanting to continue to read on. 
the story is interesting as it set under a context of a snow season, using the evidences that Andy finds pilling faster than snow as a link. Besides, the part where his dog is the one who found out Olivia's death is unexpected and different from the usual mystery stories that i read 
weakness would be the ending, the ending is not clear to me whereby i want to know what are the views from the jury. it leaves on a sentence made by Vince of "Forget what?"

from the book: " This one was not going to be as bad as most because he wasn't being called on to give a speech" this reflects  a part of the characterization of Alex Olivia. in future writings, I hope to establish a trait of my character to make my story more captivating.
