The Native Americans believed that land was like the sky, or the clouds. It was something that was shared. Land was not seperated, it was everybody's. The Native Americans in my opinion were living a wonderful life before the Europeans came and treated them with disrespect. The Europeans on the other hand opposed what the Native  Americans believed. They were brought up that land was a symbol of wealth. The more land that a person owned, the higher class they were, and the more respect that they gained. They took the Native American's land and decided that they would seperate the land. They gave themselves large amounts of land, and put the Native Amerians in small areas. The Europeans had no right to do this. Native Americans had been there way longer than the Europeans. They also wanted to protect the land. They did this by only hunting what they needed to eat. They also shared the land, meaning that knowone purchased or owned it. I believe that Native Americans were also peaceful with outsiders, but when they have to, or are forced to fight, they will. The Native Americans deserve the right to keep their land and they deserve the right to use it the way that is right for them. It was their land so they should be allowed to keep it. Even if they didn't believe in owning the land by themselves the land really belonged to  the tribe in total so the Europeans came into the tribe territories and took land that belonged to the tribe. In a way the Europeans were stealing the Native Americans land. the way I like to see this is that the European Settlers came into the house of the Natives and started to claim the house the land that they were once belonged to the Native Americans was now being claimed by the Europeans thousand and thousands of years of spiritual and physical connection with the land was now being torn apart because the Europeans were taking it tearing families apart destroying  houses communities  because they were power hungry and wanted more land.
