Artists tend to use visible texture to create more depth and dimension to their piece.  There are textures that are based on nature and some that are new and creative that can be used in a piece. You can use texture to make something look more or less realistic as you want. Some textures come naturally with the median such as woodworking and other types of carving. People did seem to easily know what it was and they found new things about it that they found cool that I did not notice. I found that the soap was definitely my strong suit over the clay although I wish I knew how to have made the texture more realistic. I choose this name for the same reasons I love sharks. They’re cute but super powerful. I made the shark out of pool noodles, bottle cans, paper-mache, and  A LOT of tape. I used spray paint to color him and water proofed his top. His bottom, which contains no paper-mache was covered but some of the tarp that I hot glued on. Although I tried to fix the crack in his back with hot glue, I did not trust that for the float test so I added the piece of tape. I choose to film in my creek because it’s a place that feels like home to me. While taking pics my dad fell down and almost into the creek which I found very funny.
