I enjoyed writing this assignment very much. It consisted of the class thinking of a company or person to write to. They could've written a complaint, suggestion, or a compliment. I wrote to Rebecca Sugar, my favorite animator who works at Cartoon Network.

Socratic Seminar, a formal discussion among students in the class were we talk about a certain topic. Two topics we have discussed in the past were about civil rights, after learning about Black history, and the biggest impact of A Christmas Carol on the world. Personally, I don't enjoy talking myself because I am extremely shy, but I love listening to everyone's viewpoint, especially about our civil rights topic.

My proudest moment in language arts this year was being able to present. Although it may sound vague or boring, I am extremely happy that I could publicly speak to the class. As an introverted person, presenting has basically forced me to have the courage to talk to an audience, albeit a small one. Not only that, but I was able to get great grades on these presentations. I know being able to speak to a crowd is very important and necessary as a grown up, so I am thankful that I have practice to further improve my ability to so.

The Best Thing I Read This Year

As a student, who, in a lack of a better word, hates reading, it is quite difficult to find a book that sparks my interest. There is a very small collection of books I have actually enjoyed, and A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park, was one of them. Even though it was a class read, which I am usually not a fan of, it was written very well and I like how the author wrote a parallel plot. In the book, it told the story of two characters who had to walk to survive, and in the end, the author did an excellent job at connecting their stories.
