in general our feeling about oral presentations is mostly bad, because when the task is in groups the lack of interest can generate a bad experience if any.

Yes, but it wasn't a relevant experience, there was some cases where the teacher used the trainee as a secretary or a helper

Why do people think that native speakers better English teachers?

Maybe it could be practice and training with speakers or in countries where the language is used. it is not enough to just use it a few hours a day to then face a teaching practice.
