Nationalism shapes my identity because I identify as a Canadian, and I also identify as part of other nations such as nations involving music taste and video game communities. These shape us because they are extremely influential, and humans are naturally social beings meaning we will always identify with a nation. Without nations it would be every man for himself and nobody would be very friendly and share any common ideals, accomplishments, or goals. Nationalism has shaped my identity since the moment I was born, and will continue to shape and change me until the day I die.
