My ELA 3D students all took the MAP and achieved tremendous results. For reclassification, the goal is to earn at least 41 or higher on MAP reading. One student earned 58 and another student earned 47. Attendance has improved significantly since the beginning of the school year. We are still planning a field trip for the students to visit Vista Del Lago and see the CTE classes as well as an visit to either Amazon or Skechers. Each month at the staff meeting, we model an AVID strategy in conjunction with reinforcing our Panther Pride PBIS initiatives. Many teachers have taken this training on AVID strategies and put them to use in their own classrooms. This continues to support the schoolwide direction of using AVID strategies in all classrooms not just an AVID Elective. ]]> 2019-02-19 17:52:32 UTC https://padlet.com/fjorgensen/uuzhw4ut7tgd/wish/332828498 fjorgensen https://padlet.com/fjorgensen/uuzhw4ut7tgd/wish/332854991 We have an aggressive plan to recruit from our feeder elementary schools to expand our AVID classes.  Currently we have 8 AVID classes this year, with the plan to add 2 more sections for 2019-2020.  The expansion will happen at the 6th grade level as this is the opportunity to recruite from the elementary schools.  For 2019-2020, we want to have :  2=8th grade
            3=7th grade
            5=6th grade
