I think Adnan Syed is innocent because Jay's story is to inconsitant and keeps change everytime he gets interviewed. Also when the murder took place Jay never thought to make an anonymous phone call or do somthing. And when the detective confronted him about that he asked him to stop.

From the cell tower records to the bizarre changes that he has made in the interviews. He has also admitted to have lied which in my opinion makes his testimony not reliable. I wont say that Jay is the murderer but he definitely knows something and is trying to cover it up.

I think Adnan is innocent because Jay gives too many details of the murder that Adnan couldn’t. He was so descriptive that you would be believe her committed it . Also his use of language makes it seem like he’s more guilty. “To the effect, yes. Don't tell anyone. He said that he couldn't believe he killed somebody with his bare hands, that all the other mother [BLEEP] referring to hoods and thugs and stuff think they're hard core. But he just killed a person with his bare hands.”

I think that Adnan is innocent. Some crucial evidence that we’ve learned thus far is that Jay’s story is not consistent. It changes from telling to telling and it doesn’t make sense within the story. Also Jay retelling the story with such vivid detail is a bit suspicious. I understand that if you were to experience such a traumatic and formidable thing, it wouldn’t be necessarily hard to remember, but the extent to which Jay remembers these conversations don’t make sense. Another thing we learned from the timeline episode, the “supposed” trips that Adnan and Jay took after the murder didn’t fit the timeline that Jay provided the state. Not to mention that their relationship was not well developed enough for such events. Like why travel all afternoon with a guy that you just smoke weed with after you killed someone? I would think that if Adnan was guilty, he would spend as much time trying to cover his tracks and make sure that Hae was buried and had no connection to the murder. But Jay says that they spent the afternoon driving around and smoking weed? Doesn’t add up. And that’s just a couple of the inconsistencies and questionable things within Jay’s story. Also, it’s a story. How can you base an entire murder off of what Jay says when there’s no evidence.

I think Adnan is innocent because when Sarah Koenig retraced the path Adnan took from school to killing Hae, the timeline was close to impossible. Koenig made it from the school to best buy with only about 2 minutes to spare. Therefore, it is close to impossible that Adnan would've had time to strangle and kill Hae

I think Adnan is innocent because Jay's testimony is not backed up by evidence, it seems as if Jay is trying to pin the crime on Adnan for whatever reason because Adnan wasn't even close to Jay. That's another reason Jay and Adnan aren't even close enough for Jay to help in the hiding of the body. The timeline isn't very solid either due to the lack of wiggle room for the time of the actual murder (10-15 min to strangle someone to death) this alone would call off the case. Another reason is the lack of physical evidence and the case riding on the backs of he said she said testiomonies. (Victoria Wilson)

I believe Adnan is innocent due to the holes in Jays story. The whole trial riding on jays faulty testimony is a big reason for my beliefs. One of the biggest plot holes is how the cell records don’t line up. “It doesn’t match the cell tower in the call record. It’s pinging a tower back near the Best Buy, west of where we are. And that is true of all these calls from the middle of the afternoon.” Jays accusations being faulty while Adnan has a alibi is good evidence for his innocence.

I believe that Adnan is innocent because of the lack of physical proof. All of the evidence against Adnan has been based off of a timeline established by an untrustworthy Jay and witness statements. Sarah Koenig herself notes that, ”As for physical evidence, there was none-- nothing. Apart from some fingerprints in Hae's car, which Adnan had been in many times, there was nothing linking him to the crime-- no DNA, no fibers, no hairs, no matching soil from the bottom of his boots.” This means that all of the evidence used to convict Adnan was circumstantial and I don't trust that.

He was mainly convicted because of what Jay said but I believe Jay’s story had many inconsistencies and is not a reliable source. In the podcast the detectives literally started taking notes of all the inconsistencies in his story. He was caught lying multiple times and provided really dumb excuses for it. All of that is important but to me the most compelling piece of evidence was when Jay could have came forward about it but instead he kept it in secret.

He was convicted because of Jay, who's story had many inconsistencies and constantly changed between interviews and trials. "Best Buy. Just like Jenn had originally told them. This is a problem for the cops- this change. Because it's not something you forget-". This is the biggest inconsistency in Jay's story because how do you forget where you first saw the dead body of your classmate. Jay is more of a mystery than Adnan in this case and I feel that the cops are just using confirmation bias that aligns with their belief that Adnan did it.

Following this, there has been no other strong source of evidence. This case is solely based on he said she said without any sort of physical evidence. This really hit me when Adnan said, "But no one could ever come with any type of proof or anecdote or anything to ever say that I was ever mad at her, that I was ever angry with her, that I ever threatened her."

At the current point in the story I am convinced that Adnan did not kill Hae. The strongest evidence against him, Jay's testimony, is filled with inconsistencies, such as changing the details of where Adnan asked to be picked up after killing Hae. Coupled with the fact that memories are oftentimes unreliable, I believe that Jay lied to the police in his eyewitness account. I do not know why he would have lied, but I think that he may be covering up for the person who actually did kill Hae by blaming it on Adnan. The lack of solid evidence against Adnan also strongly convinces me that he is innocent because if he did kill her there would be some kind of DNA evidence found incriminating him.

With the evidence provided so far through the podcast I am not entirely convinced that Adnan did it. Jay's story seems to be the only evidence they have against Adnan besides cell records. However, Jay's story has never been consistent. Everytime he's been interrogated something changes and something is added. It's hard to believe that he is telling the entire truth about the situation when it keeps changing and he went from saying he didn't help Adnan to he did. I also feel that the lack of physical evidence makes it hard to believe that he is guilty, and I believe that his attorney did a bad job at addressing the jury when it came to the evidence provided.

I truly believe Adnan did not murder Hae Min Lee for multiple reasons. 1) The entire time frame of the scene isnt reasonably not to mention how many times Jay changed his story. Even in our smaller school it takes at least 5- 10 min to get out of the parking lot therefore how would Adnan even have the time seeing as her death took place in a span of 15 min after their last bell. I understand Koenig plotted out the route but that was with what a minute to spare at most. 2) The cell towers dont match Jays story , that is until he altered it. 3) A woman who was meant to speak out on Jays behalf even went against him saying its unlikely hed help Adnan with this murder yet he still cant explain the coorelation.

At one point Jay makes up an entire, detailed trip to Patapsco Park, which he later denies ever happened. He admits to lying on multiple occasions. Other than Jay's story, there is little else to condemn Adnan, for instance the lack of physical evidence and his alibi which is seemingly confirmed by Asia McClain.

Although Adnan may have some cell phone records that point to his guilt, Jay blatantly admitted to lying about some parts of his story. Some of his so-called evidence doesn't correlate with the timeline Hae was killed. Jay has more evidence pointing to him being the killer than Adnan does.

I believe that Adnan Syed is innocent and he did not murder Hae Min Lee. Not only is their no physical evidence (such as DNA, fingerprints, fibers, etc) linking Adnan to the crime, The only main thing that supported his conviction is Jays interviews as well as his testimonys in court and none of those can actually be seen as reliable or accurate because he changes his story several times. Not only can several details of jays story be disproved, but there are several phone calls that Adnan made that do not ping to a cell tower where Jay tells the cops they were driving that afternoon. Jay made up several events that occurred during the day which created major changes to his initial story and statements. Although Adnan had minor slip ups in his story, I believe that many people including prosecutors were looking at the fact that Adnan was Haes ex and that was also used to give Adnan a motive. Also, initially Asia McClain served as a possible Alibi for Adnan but it was overlooked.

The cell records/Call log is an important one, because this shows how he was near where Hae's body was found!! I think that Adnan helped out with the murder, I don't think he did it all by himself. The court case is basically going off of the cell records and Jay's testimony. Although Jay's testimony changes many times, or he doesn't fully tell the truth, he developed a well enough testimony to prove to the state Adnan's guilt.
