         <description><![CDATA[<p>From Mark:</p><p>Good question (for other participants: this phrase shows up in the "distinguished" rubric levels). There is no state-mandated universal criteria for what this "must" be. The essential idea: how have you used your experience with fostering student growth to empower or inform other professionals... a "distinguished" teacher might serve as a mentor to others, offer guidance to their team/PLC, host peer observations related to the student growth process, etc., as a way to influence instructional practice of others. This can look many different ways based on context. If aiming for distinguised is a goal you have, it would be a great idea to have conversations early with your evaluator about what the envision this might look like in your context. Early conversations can help establish clarity so that you're not doing some kind of guessing...</p>]]></description>
